The mannequin's wrist measures 5 1/2". 

The glove netting covers the palm, BELOW the wrist. The lace at the wrist will flare out like a peplum, below the wrist bone.

How much work goes into these gloves? 
The 3rd photo shows the actual hook size used to crochet these gloves. The last photo shows the "picot" stitch, enlarged, to show definition. There are a total of 576 picot stitches per pair! 

The fineness of the thread, and the smallness of the hook required 4 days per glove to construct. Heirloom quality.
